Gentle care
Kids and nervous patients are our favorites
A visit that’s unhurried, with nothing done that you haven’t agreed to.

For kids
Children from their first birthday
A first visit is mostly looking and learning: counting teeth, riding the chair up and down and getting a sticker. Parents stay in the room, and young children can sit on a parent’s lap.
We’re a general practice and not a children’s specialty. If a child needs sedation or more complicated care than we can offer, we’ll say so and suggest a pediatric dentist.
- Parents stay in the room
- We show and explain each tool first
- Kids’ cleaning, exam and fluoride: $119 without insurance, or $29 a month on the Smile Club

For adults
If the dentist makes you nervous
Plenty of adults put off the dentist for years, and nobody here will scold you for it. Tell us when you book and we’ll plan around it.
We can’t promise you won’t feel anything, and we won’t say we can. We do promise to stop when you raise your hand.
- We explain each step before it happens
- You choose a hand signal, and we stop every time
- We numb the area before we begin
- Headphones, breaks and a blanket if you’d like one
- Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for adults and children who want it

Questions about visits
Do you see children?
Yes, from their first birthday. Parents can stay with them in the room, and we let kids hold the mirror and count their teeth. We’re a general practice and not a children’s specialty, so for a very young child who needs sedation or complicated care we’ll tell you honestly and suggest a pediatric dentist.
I’m nervous about the dentist. What can you do?
Tell us when you book and we’ll plan for it. We explain each step before it happens, agree on a hand signal to stop, numb the area before we start, and offer headphones and nitrous oxide (laughing gas). We can’t promise you won’t feel anything, but we do promise to stop when you raise your hand.
How do I cancel or move an appointment, and is there a fee?
Call or email us at least 24 hours before and there’s no charge. If you miss a visit with less notice, we charge $35, and we’ll waive it the first time. Life happens, and we’d rather you call us than skip.
